About the race
Christmas Eve morning fills the Plaza de la Constitución in Perales de Tajuña with a festive atmosphere for the Legua, a holiday tradition in the Vega del Tajuña that now reaches its sixteenth edition. Runners cover a route of about 5.5 km, a lively distance for both experienced and occasional runners, starting and finishing in the town's main square at 11:00 on 24 December 2026. Every athlete receives a commemorative technical t-shirt, a runner's bag and running socks, and the youth races fill the morning with families and children. The podium has a real Christmas flavour, with ham, sausage and wine for the top finishers, trophies for each category and local runners, a prize for the first runner through the flying finish, and hams for the clubs with the most finishers and the fastest team.
