Frequently asked questions
Here you'll find answers to any question you have about Bibready: what it is, what our services cost, which races it covers and how a bib is transferred.
About Bibready
What is Bibready?
Bibready is a platform built in Barcelona for buying and selling race bibs. It also manages registrations for sports events and builds software solutions for the world of sport. We connect runners who can't make a race with runners looking for a bib for it: marathons, half marathons, 10Ks, trail races, triathlons and any sports event you can imagine.
Does Bibready cover races in Spain?
Yes. More than 80% of the races on Bibready are in Spain. There are races like the Behobia-San Sebastián and the Valencia Marathon, as well as local half marathons, trail races and 10Ks. Each race has its own page with the bibs for sale.
What languages is Bibready available in?
Spanish, Catalan and English. Bibready is a platform built in Barcelona, and Spanish is its main language.
Are there races outside Spain?
Yes. Besides races in Spain, Bibready lists major international marathons and half marathons, such as Berlin, London, Paris and Lisbon.
How much does Bibready cost? Does it charge a commission?
For runners, nothing. Listing a bib, searching races, setting alerts and messaging sellers are all free. Bibready takes no commission on bib sales: buyer and seller agree the price between them, and the money never goes through Bibready.
Buying and selling
How do I sell my bib?
List it with the race and your price. When someone is interested we'll let you know, and you can talk on Bibready's chat to agree on the price and the name change.
How do I buy a bib?
Find your race, pick a bib and fill in the form to let the seller know you're interested. You'll then get in touch to agree on the price and the name change, which is done on the race's official website.
How do I find out when a bib comes up for my race?
Turn on the alert on the race's page. As soon as someone lists a bib for that race, you'll get an email.
Name changes and safety
How does a bib name change work?
The race organizer always handles the name change, on their official website and within their deadline. On Bibready, each race page shows that deadline and the organizer's transfer conditions when they've been published.
Are you allowed to sell a race bib?
Yes, when the organizer allows bib transfers and the change is made within their deadline. Each race sets its own rules, so check its regulations before you sell or buy. Running with a bib in someone else's name without changing it is usually forbidden and can leave you without insurance or a result.
Is it safe to buy a bib on Bibready?
Bibready puts you in touch with the seller and gives you a chat to talk before you commit, but it doesn't verify identities or handle payments. Before you pay, follow our safety tips.
Safety tipsTicketing for events
Is Bibready only a bib marketplace?
No. Besides the bib marketplace, we run ticket sales and registrations for races, sports events and festivals.
What does Bibready's ticketing include?
Your event gets its own sales page, where people pay online by card. You can offer several ticket types at different prices, such as early-bird tickets. Each buyer gets a confirmation email and finds their QR-code ticket in their Bibready account. From your organizer dashboard you see your attendees, download their details and, on the day, validate tickets at the entrance by scanning the QR code.
How can I sell tickets for my event with Bibready?
Write to us about your event: the type of event, the date and how many tickets or registrations you expect to sell. We'll explain how we'd set it up.
Contact BibreadyOrganizers
I organize a race. Can it be on Bibready?
Yes, for free. We send you a profile to fill in your race's details, which gives you one more place to promote it. And runners who can't make it can pass their bib on through Bibready instead of leaving the place empty.
