Ten and a half kilometres at dusk through the heart of a World Heritage city: the Cáceres 10.5K shares its start and finish in the Plaza Mayor and runs through the city's most iconic streets. It is the perfect distance for enjoying the atmosphere of Cáceres' big running festival without having to train for a half marathon. General information: - Date: Saturday 2027-05-15. - Edition: it would be the 20th edition of the "Cáceres World Heritage" Half Marathon; the 19th was held on Saturday 2026-05-16. - Distance: 10.5 km. - Start and finish: Plaza Mayor, Cáceres. - Start: 19:00 in the previous edition. - Time limit: 2 hours. - Minimum age: 18 on race day. - Places: 1,700 bibs across all distances. - Organiser: Cáceres City Council, with technical direction by Pulsaciones.net and the support of the Extremadura Athletics Federation. Why it is special: - It starts and finishes in the Plaza Mayor, at the foot of the monumental city of Cáceres, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. - It is run at dusk, when the city's stone turns golden and the temperature is pleasant. - The urban course is fully closed to traffic. - There are trophies for the top three overall and for the first local man and woman. Course: It covers 10.5 km on an urban circuit through the most iconic streets of Cáceres, starting and finishing in the Plaza Mayor. There are at least two aid stations on the course and one at the finish. The courses and tracks can be viewed and downloaded on pulsaciones.net. Timetable: in the previous edition the children's races started at 17:30, and the half marathon and 10.5 km race started together at 19:00. The organiser will confirm the 2027 times. No start corral by finishing time has been published: runners line up by pace. Registration and prices: registration is on mediamaratoncaceres.net or pulsaciones.net, until 12:00 on the Tuesday before the race or until the 1,700 bibs run out. In the previous edition the price was €12 until 15 March and €15 afterwards. 2027 prices are still to be published. Bib pickup and expo: in the previous edition bibs and t-shirts were collected on race day, from 10:30 to 14:00, at the Runner's Fair in the Foro de los Balbos. It had stands, a photocall and dance and zumba displays. Runners from out of town could also use a marquee at the start area from 17:00 to 18:30. You must show your registration confirmation and ID. Tips: use the morning to collect your bib at the Runner's Fair and visit the monumental city. Stay well hydrated during the day: in May it can still be warm in Cáceres at 19:00. Bib exchange: the rules do not cover a name change or bib change, and only the original bib may be worn. Entries are not refunded or moved to other editions. There are no official waiting lists.
