About the race
The Adriatic Sea, the stones of Diocletian's Palace and the winter sun of Dalmatia set the scene for the Split Marathon, a race that reaches its twenty-seventh edition in 2027. The 42.195 km course is AIMS-certified and starts on the Riva, the city's iconic seafront promenade, passing landmarks such as Diocletian's Palace, the Poljud Stadium, the green Marjan peninsula and the Žnjan–Stobreč promenade along the coast. The race starts at 09:00 on Sunday 14 February 2027, with places limited to 1,000 runners, start zones assigned by target time, refreshment stations, live tracking and a time limit of 6 hours 30 minutes. Every finisher receives a medal, the EXPO FUN zone in the city hosts bib collection, and results count toward the Abbott World Marathon Majors Age Group World Rankings.
