About the race
Tracks winding through cereal fields, open plateaus and stone villages: the Castrillo Bike Race is a 55 km MTB ride through the Odra-Pisuerga district from Castrillo de Murcia. It is an event made by and for the village, with a very friendly atmosphere and a real commitment to the environment: every rider leaves a tree planted. General information: - Date: Sunday 2027-05-09. The previous edition was held on Sunday 2026-05-10. - Edition: it would be the 9th; the 8th was held in 2026. - Location: Castrillo de Murcia (Burgos), starting and finishing at the arch at the entrance to the village. - Distance: 55 km with 1,200 m of elevation gain, over two laps of the same circuit. - Start: 09:30 in the previous edition, with an expected finish around 14:00. - Minimum age: 16 on race day. Course: It covers 55 km with 1,200 m of climbing, over two laps of a circuit that starts and finishes at the village entrance arch. It runs on paths and tracks of Castrillo de Murcia and Villandiego, on the Burgos plateau. The circuit is marked and the track is available on the official website. The course is not fully closed to traffic, so riders must follow traffic rules.
