Fast, intense and with views from Picu Siana: the Llosorio Speed Trail 13K is the short distance of the Picu Llosorio Trail, with 13 km and about 850 m of climbing through the mountains of Mieres del Camín, perfect for getting started in mountain running or for anyone looking for an explosive trail. General information: - Date: Sunday 2027-05-16. - Start and finish: Mieres del Camín (Asturias), at 09:30 (previous edition's time). - Distance: 13 km with about 850 m of elevation gain and loss. - Time limit: 3 h 15 min. - Places: 400. - Edition: 2026 was the 5th, so 2027 would be the 6th. - Minimum age: cadets aged 15 and 16 with guardian authorisation. - Organiser: Pinineo Sport Club Deportivo, under FEMPA rules. Why it is special: - It crosses the mountains of Mieres, in central Asturias, with viewpoints such as Picu Siana. - It has the atmosphere of a village trail, with strong local involvement. - It is the ideal distance to get started in mountain running. - There is a mixed pairs category combining the 23K and the 13K. Course: It passes Siana, La Forqueta, Picu Siana, Picu Roiles, Paxío and Llano la Tabla, returning through the same area. The course is marked with signs and tape, and the profile is published on the official website. Timetable: In the previous edition the start was at 09:30 and runners had to be in the start corral 15 minutes before. Cut-offs were at Picu Roiles (km 4, 1 h 15 min) and Picu Roiles (km 9, 2 h 30 min). Runners who miss the cut-offs are stopped. Registration and prices: Registration is online at empa-t.com. In the previous edition it opened in December and closed on 6 May, about ten days before the race; for 2027 we use 2027-05-06 as a reference. Price in the previous edition: €20 federated and €23 non-federated. Day insurance is included for non-federated runners; federated runners must hold a FEMPA or FEDME licence. Bib pickup: In the previous edition it was at the Cultural Centre on Calle Jerónimo Ibrán 8 (Mieres): Saturday from 16:00 to 19:00 and Sunday from 07:00. Bring ID and your licence if you have one. A race bag comes with the bib. There is no expo as such. Getting there: Mieres is in central Asturias, about 20 km from Oviedo on the A-66 motorway, and has a commuter rail station. Mieres del Camín is the main town of the municipality. Tips: Mandatory gear: trail shoes (no minimalist footwear), suitable clothing, at least 0.5 L of water, your own cup (there are no disposable cups), a charged phone and a thermal blanket. A windproof jacket, cap, sunglasses and whistle are recommended. Start calmly: the climb to Picu Siana comes early. Bib change: Bibs are personal and non-transferable: no name change or bib change is allowed, and running with someone else's bib means disqualification. In the previous edition 75% of the fee was refunded until two months before and 50% until a month before. Alternatives to get a bib: Register early, as places are limited, and join the waiting list on Bibready with a bib alert.
