Running between the Mediterranean and the ancient Roman city of Tarraco, with the port, the Serrallo fishermen's quarter and the seafront as the setting: the Tarragona 10K is part of one of the longest-running road races in Catalonia. In 2026 it reaches its 35th edition. General information: - The race is on Sunday 2026-11-08 at 09:00, starting on Carrer Torres Jordi. - It is organised by Tarragona's municipal sports board (Tarragona Esports), with Carburos Metálicos as main sponsor. - The distance is 10 km, with a limit of 750 participants. The half marathon and 10K have 1,700 places between them. - The minimum age is 16. Minors need authorisation. - There are five age categories for men and women. Prizes go to the top five overall, the winner of each category and the clubs with the best combined time. Why it is special: - Tarragona is a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its Roman remains, and running its streets means running through more than two thousand years of history. - The urban course makes the most of the seafront and port area, with the sea always close by. - It is a very popular race: the 2026 edition is sold out. - It has a friendly atmosphere, with local volunteers, a photo contest and live results on the LastTiming app. - It is easy to reach: Tarragona railway station sits by the seafront, very close to the race area. Course: the race covers 10 km on an urban circuit partly closed to traffic, starting on Carrer Torres Jordi. The organiser publishes the course map on Google Maps. The route runs through the city and the port area, next to the Moll de Costa and the Serrallo. Timetable: the start is at 09:00. There is no race-day registration. No start corral by finishing time has been announced. Registration and prices: registration was on RockTheSport in three price tiers, with a 5 € discount in the first, and is now sold out. The website does not show the 2026 base price. Bib pickup: bib collection is at the Serrallo sports hall, on Saturday 2026-11-07 from 16:00 to 20:00 and on Sunday 2026-11-08 from 07:30 to 08:50. The race gift, a T-shirt, is only handed out during those hours. There is no expo as such. Services: entry includes insurance and medical cover.
