Medio Maratón Elvas-Badajoz 2026

Two countries, two cities and the River Guadiana come together in the Medio Maratón Elvas-Badajoz, a cross-border half marathon that starts in Portugal and finishes in Spain, now in its thirty-seventh edition. The 21.097 km course starts in the Parque da Piedade in Elvas, crosses the old Caia border along the former Madrid-Lisbon road and enters Badajoz along the Paseo Fluvial and the Guadiana, finishing on Avenida de Huelva, with a sharp descent at km 3, a few rolling sections and a practically flat route from km 10. The race starts at 10:30 Spanish time on Sunday 2026-11-15, with aid stations every 5 km and at the finish, race control closing at 13:45 and places for up to 2,000 runners. Buses take runners from Badajoz to the start in Elvas, a clothing bus carries bags to the finish, and every finisher receives a commemorative medal and the official t-shirt.
