About the race
The Plaza Mayor, the Cathedral and the narrow streets of León's old town set the scene for the 5K of the Media Maratón Ciudad de León, a short and lively urban race through the heart of the city. The 5 km course starts on Paseo del Parque, next to the Estadio Hispánico, and runs along Calle Corredera, Avenida Independencia, Plaza de Santo Domingo, San Isidoro, the cathedral district, the Plaza Mayor and the Cuestas Castañones and Carbajalas, before finishing on the athletics track of the Estadio Hispánico. The race starts at 10:25 on Sunday 2027-04-04, with a time limit of 35 minutes, places for up to 500 runners and participation open to runners born in 2011 or earlier. Every runner receives a commemorative t-shirt and a runner's bag at the finish, with a cloakroom, showers and physiotherapy at the Estadio Hispánico.
