About the race

ZARAGOZA, SPAIN
The event

On a Sunday in November, the streets of Zaragoza turn pink. Thousands of women of all ages, wearing the official race T-shirt, come together for the Carrera de la Mujer Zaragoza, a morning of sport, emotion and solidarity where every stride counts. Mothers, daughters, grandmothers, friends and colleagues share the start line in a pink tide that turns the city into a true celebration of women's sport.Europe's biggest women's sporting eventThe Carrera de la Mujer was born in 2004 and has since brought together more than 1.6 million participants, making it the largest women's sporting event in Europe. Its goals remain the same: to encourage women of all ages to take up sport, to support cancer research and to raise awareness of the fight against gender-based violence and social inequality. In Zaragoza the race is organised by Sport Life Ibérica together with Club Olimpo de Zaragoza and the support of the City Council, and in 2026 it welcomes up to 17,000 participants.A course to enjoy at your own paceThe race covers about 6 kilometres through the streets of Zaragoza, starting from 9:30 with a 2-hour time limit. Everyone is welcome: you can run the whole way, mix running and walking, or walk the entire course. When you register you choose how you will take part, and you receive a different-coloured bib so you start from the right corral. Starts are staggered: at 9:30 corral 1, for elite runners and those running faster than 6 minutes per kilometre; at 9:35 corral 2, for runners slower than 6 minutes per kilometre; at 9:40 corral 3, for those walking most of the way; and at 9:45 corral 4, for those walking the whole course. This keeps the start smooth and comfortable for everyone.A race to shareAll women aged 8 and over can take part. As well as individual age categories, the race celebrates the bonds between women with team categories: mother and daughter, three sisters, grandmother, mother and granddaughter, mother-in-law and daughter-in-law, two or three friends, work colleagues, gyms, schools and women's associations. Trophies go to the top three in each category, and there are also categories for women with disabilities and wheelchair participants. What your entry includesRegistration includes the official Oysho technical T-shirt, a bib with timing chip and a runner's bag with gifts from the sponsors. On race day there is a bag drop in the finish area, after the refreshment point, and medical assistance along the course. Afterwards you can check the results, see your finish-line photos and download your official video and diploma from the race website. The SportWoman ExpoBibs, T-shirts and bags are collected at the SportWoman Expo, at the Palacio de Congresos in the Expo site, on Friday 6 November from 10:00 to 20:00 and Saturday 7 from 10:00 to 19:00, in the time slot chosen at registration. In the weeks before the race there are also workshops and training sessions in strength, Pilates, core and Zumba® to help you prepare.Running for a causeEvery entry supports the social and research projects of the race's beneficiary organisations, such as the Spanish Association Against Cancer, GEICAM, Pulseras Rosas and the Clara Campoamor Association. You can also choose a 100% charity entry, with the full amount going to the AMAC-GEMA Association in Zaragoza.RegistrationEntry costs €13.95 (VAT and booking fee included), and €14.95 in race week if places remain. Groups of 20 or more women can register together by contacting the organisers.Run, walk, laugh and share: the Carrera de la Mujer Zaragoza is the best way to join the pink tide and prove that, together, we go further.
