The event

The Jerez Half Marathon 2026 will take place on Sunday, 18 October 2026 at 9:00 a.m., celebrating its 30th anniversary as one of the most iconic and established races in the Andalusian running calendar. The course maintains a fast, urban and accessible profile, ideal both for runners seeking a personal best and for those who want to enjoy the festive and sporting atmosphere of Jerez de la Frontera. The race starts on Avenida Alcalde Álvaro Domecq, next to the Feria Gate, a wide area that ensures an orderly and comfortable start. From there, the route flows through the Álvaro Domecq Statue roundabout and Primo de Rivera roundabout before heading along Avenida de Andalucía and the Tío Pepe roundabout, a fast and open section. The course continues along Avenida Adolfo Suárez and the Leroy Merlin roundabout, connecting with Avenida de Lebrija and Avenida Duque de Abrantes, passing the Royal Equestrian School before returning along the same avenue and entering narrower streets such as Pozo del Olivar, Ponce, Polvera, Marqués de Casa Domecq and Sevilla, before returning to Avenida Álvaro Domecq and Plaza del Caballo. The route then heads towards Avenida Méjico, the Juan Holgado roundabout and Calle Córdoba, entering Paseo de la Rosaleda and Avenida de la Feria, reaching the Caballos de Colores roundabout and Paseo de Sementales. After passing the Yeguada Militar roundabout, the course takes Avenida del Ejército and returns to the Álvaro Domecq Statue roundabout, repeating the passage through Primo de Rivera, Avenida de Andalucía and the Tío Pepe roundabout. From there, it diverts towards Avenida Voltaire, Avenida La Pepa and Avenida José Manuel Caballero Bonald, reaching the Bandera de Andalucía roundabout and running the full length of Avenida Europa before returning along the same avenue. The final section becomes more technical as runners enter Avenida Fernando Portillo, the Motorista roundabout, Avenida de Arcos, Avenida de la Universidad and Calle Arcos to reach the historic centre. The passage through Calle Honda, the Casinos roundabout, Calle Larga, Lancería, Corredera, Plaza de las Angustias, Calle Porvenir, Plaza Madre de Dios and Plaza Minotauro adds a lively and characteristic urban atmosphere. From there, the course heads to Avenida Nuestra Señora de la Paz, the Catavino roundabout, Avenida Virgen de Fátima, Calle Zaragoza and Calle Circo, even entering the Bullring before continuing through Juan Antonio Romero, Juan Belmonte and Martín Ferrador, returning to the Catavino roundabout to take Pablo Neruda and Bruselas. The final stretch leads to the Chapín roundabout and Avenida Rafa Verdú, where runners enter Chapín Stadium to complete the last metres on the athletics track in a vibrant and emotional atmosphere. To ensure an orderly start, the race features three start corrals based on estimated finish time (1:00–1:25, 1:26–1:45 and 1:46–2:30) and official pacers to help runners achieve their goals. Throughout the 21.097 km course, runners will find well‑distributed aid stations with water, isotonic drinks and volunteer support, along with essential services such as bag drop, medical assistance, traffic control and on‑course entertainment. Registration is personal and non‑transferable, but the event offers a structured refund policy until 6 September 2026: cancellations made until 5 July receive a 75% refund, until 2 August a 50% refund and until 6 September a 25% refund, with no refunds available from 7 September onwards. With a varied, dynamic and representative course, strong organisation and a warm and authentic atmosphere, the Jerez Half Marathon celebrates its 30th anniversary as an essential event of the Andalusian autumn running season.
